An Unrivaled Weekend Begins in 1 Hour! ⏲️
Big matchups, bigger moments and two club nights ahead! Get ready with us for an Unrivaled weekend!

Unrivaled Weekend Preview
The season rolls on with a packed three-day slate and plenty at stake across the standings. From physical Friday night matchups to a Sunday doubleheader that could shake things up, all eight clubs are back on the floor this weekend.
A reminder for our international friends: Australians can watch every game on Foxtel; fans in New Zealand can watch on SkyNZ and fans in China can watch on Bilibili. In another country outside the U.S.? You can watch LIVE on the Unrivaled YouTube channel. Tune in information for the U.S. is below for each of the weekend’s matchups!
FRIDAY
A Test of Physicality
Both clubs enter Week 2 at 2-1, but the standings are already starting to tell a story. There’s familiarity and edge here, too. Tiffany Hayes faces her former club after appearing in 11 games for the Laces last season. On the floor, this matchup pits strength against strength: Phantom has been the league’s top rebounding club at 37.3 boards per game. Plus, the Ghost Gang set a single-game record with 44 rebounds earlier this week. Meanwhile the Laces rank first in steals per game and continue to turn defense into momentum.
Expansion Meets the Champs
Hive play the defending champions for the first time. The champs enter undefeated at 3-0 after a clean sweep in Week 1. For Hive, after an 0-3 start, this group is still searching for its first win. There are also connections layered in. Natisha Hiedeman faces the club she helped lead to an Unrivaled title last season, while Washington Mystics teammates Sonia Citron (Hive) squares off against Sug Sutton and Shakira Austin (Rose). It’s a measuring-stick game for Hive and a chance for Rose to reinforce its standard.
SATURDAY
A Familiar Foe, A New Look
Mist is searching for its breakthrough against the Lunar Owls after going 0-3 against them during the 2025 regular season. This first matchup of the season represents a chance to flip the script. The spotlight is firmly on Allisha Gray, who returns to face her former team after being a pillar of the Lunar Owls’ 2025 roster. Now the offensive engine for Mist, Gray enters averaging a club-high 22.3 points per game. Add in a Valkyries crossover between Veronica Burton and Temi Fágbénlé, and this game carries both familiarity and urgency.
Battle in the Paint
This matchup is big, literally. Dominique Malonga and Dearica Hamby headline a showdown between two of the league’s most dominant interior forces, both coming off monster Week 1 performances. Malonga opened her Unrivaled career with consecutive double-doubles before posting her first 20-point game. Hamby just made history with the first 40-point performance the league has ever seen. Layer in a Sparks reunion, with Rickea Jackson and Cameron Brink on Breeze facing Hamby and Rae Burrell on Vinyl, and this one has plenty of personal pride attached. Breeze (2-1) looks to bounce back from its first loss, while Vinyl (1-2) aims to build on its first win.
SUNDAY
Semi-Final Rematch
These two know each other well. Rose and Laces meet for the first time since their 2025 playoff semifinal, where Rose advanced behind a 39-point performance from Chelsea Gray in a 63-57 win. There’s added intrigue this time around. Brittney Sykes now suits up for the Laces and faces her former club after delivering the game-winning free throw that secured the first Unrivaled championship. Add in a Mercury reunion between Alyssa Thomas (Laces) and Kahleah Copper (Rose), and this game is packed with history and high-level shot-making.
Continuity vs Change
Sunday night closes with a classic contrast. Phantom’s offense has exploded early behind Kelsey Plum, Aliyah Boston, and Kiki Iriafen. Hive, meanwhile, has made its mark defensively, led by Saniya Rivers, who set a league record for blocks in a single game. There’s also a Fever face-off baked in, with Indiana teammates Kelsey Mitchell (Hive) and Aliyah Boston (Phantom) lining up on opposite sides. If Hive wants to end the weekend with momentum, slowing Phantom’s scoring punch is the key.
We’ll be back Monday to preview the final two games this week!
Unrivaled Milestones
📌 Chelsea Gray on Milestone Watch
Chelsea Gray is closing in on two firsts. She’s five points away from becoming the first player in Unrivaled history to reach 400 career points and just six assists shy of 100 career assists.
🔥 Career Nights Everywhere
Week 1 delivered a wave of career highs across the league. More than 10 players set new personal bests, and five players cracked the 30-point club in a single week: Marina Mabrey, Allisha Gray, Chelsea Gray, Dearica Hamby, and Aaliyah Edwards. For context, Season 1 had 15 total 30-point games across three months.
🏀 Historic 40-Piece
Dearica Hamby raised the bar. Against the Hive on January 11, she became the first player in Unrivaled history to score 40 points, going 16-of-22 from the field with 10 rebounds.
🚀 The Future is Here
The league’s young stars made immediate noise. Saniya Rivers broke the single-game blocks record. Dominique Malonga became the first player ever to post consecutive double-doubles in her first two Unrivaled games. Paige Bueckers narrowly missed a triple-double twice in her opening week.
📈 Records Within Reach
Aaliyah Edwards has opened the season with three straight double-doubles and is one away from tying the Unrivaled record of four consecutive, set by Angel Reese.
💪 Setting the Standard
Through Week 1, three players are averaging double-doubles: Edwards, Hamby, and Malonga.
